Market Region - Head down to the market area and ask the locals how to find these restaurants within the back section of the market. It is quite an experience and might scare you off but rest assured you are extremely safe in this region. Some of the restaurants wash your hands before and after you eat and the food is out of this world and is generally bought fresh every day.

Prices for dishes range from 150Mts 1/4 Chicken Chips and Salad, 300Mts 1/2 Chicken Chips and Salad and some amazing chicken and prawn curries etc. at very low local prices. On top of the price of drinks is super low as you will pay 70Mts for a 2M Grande Beer (550ml)
Lulu’s - your first choice especially after spending time at Fernandos next door. They will quite often do take aways for you as you sit enjoying your R&R

Mama Alice - +258 82 523 5663 - Remember to pre-book otherwise your meal might take a while as they like cooking their chicken slowly.

Africa Bar - Across from Mama Alice down Chicken alley as well
